New for Fall 2024, we will have 2 Youth Mental Health Corps positions! The Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) is a new program within the Team UP AmeriCorps Workforce Track. YMHC members provide programming aimed at supporting youth mental health in a variety of ways including enhancing student engagement in school, fostering stronger social connections among peers and students, alleviating family stress by offering a secure and enjoyable environment for students, and providing essential community support. During their service term, YMHC members will also complete all the required courses to obtain the Behavioral Health Assistant I microcredential through Pueblo Community College. Vision Projects Coordinator

Site: Riverhouse Children’s Center
Location: Durango, CO

Term Dates: June - August*

With a mission to build the foundation for a lifetime of success through quality early childhood education, Riverhouse is searching for one to two AmeriCorps members to serve as Vision Project Coordinators to implement vision projects in order to boost their culture and community.


Summer Program Liaison

Site: The Hive
Location: Durango, CO

Term Dates: June - August

Bilingual individual highly preferred, specifically proficient in Spanish

The Hive DGO is a youth centered non-profit that provides programming through passion based exploration of skateboarding, music, art and beyond. The Hive DGO strives to support journeys in self discovery by providing a brave and inclusive space for under-resourced and underrepresented youth. The Hive is seeking a summer AmeriCorps member to support their summer program expansion. The Summer Program Liaison will support youth and families - and have a summer of fun!


Garden Coordinator & School Support Specialist

Site: Southwest Open School (SWOS)
Location: Cortez, CO

Term Dates: September 9, 2024-May 31, 2025

SWOS is looking to add an AmeriCorps member to its dynamic and close-knit team of staff. The AmeriCorps member will serve a dual role as the Garden Coordinator & School Support Specialist. The SWOS campus has an existing garden and four-season greenhouse. The Garden Coordinator and School Support Specialist will serve to provide much needed maintenance and curriculum development with regards to garden infrastructure, as well as creating spending significant time relationship-building and supporting students by joining classrooms, class trips, and experiential education initiatives to support the academic and behavioral needs of students.


Afterschool & Family Engagement Coordinator

Site: School Community Youth Collaborative (SCYC)
Location: Cortez, CO

Term Dates: September 9, 2024-May 31, 2025

This AmeriCorps member will be responsible for supporting SCYC’s out-of-school time programming at Mancos Schools and SCYC’s family engagement programs at Mancos and Cortez Middle School, including creation and development of after school programming at Mancos Schools. The Coordinator will also serve directly with the Team UP Safe Spaces Action Team to coordinate and implement new and current projects developed by the team and partner organizations all focused on increasing community inclusivity and safe spaces for all youth.


Restorative Practices Coordinator

Site: The Juniper School (TJS)
Location: Durango, CO

Term Dates: September 9, 2024-May 31, 2025

The Restorative Practices Coordinator will provide comprehensive and culturally competent social emotional support to students and promote positive climate and culture at TJS. The position will provide de-escalation support to individual students as needed, as well as initiate, promote and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, guardians, staff, admin, and community partners. They will collaborate with staff on creating and implementing Tier 1 and 2 tools and strategies to support the zones of regulation and coping strategies in the classroom as well as assist in managing student behavior.


Montezuma Inspire Coalition Summer AmeriCorps Member

Site: Montezuma Inspire Coalition
Location: Cortez, CO

Term Dates: May - August

This MIC Summer AmeriCorps Member position is a unique position aimed at increasing the capacity of MIC and its partner organizations during the summer season. This position will provide a diversity of experiences, from direct to indirect services, all under the goal of getting individuals outdoors. Specifically, this member will serve directly with MIC and two MIC partners: Fozzie's Farm (under the Montezuma Land Conservancy) and the School Community Youth Collaborative (SCYC).


Early Language Coordinator

Site: Community Connections (CCI)
Location: Durango, CO

Term Dates: September 9, 2024-August 31, 2025

The Early Language Coordinator will deliver the LENA Home program to engage and empower families with evidence-based practices that support the learning and growth of children, birth to three years old. They will serve directly with families to support their child’s language and overall brain development through increasing the adult interactive talk in the child’s family environment. This member will be based in Durango but will serve Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Juan Counties. As a member of Talk Grow Learn, the Team UP of Southwest Colorado collective impact action team, the Early Language Coordinator will also communicate and partner with additional family resource agencies in the region.
